We’ve updated the My Accounts page with a few new features. You now have the ability to enter your credit limits on your credit cards, APR percentages on loans, credit cards, and savings accounts, and the day of the month your APR gets calculated in. We are in the process of implementing a feature so that if a percentage entered is greater than 0%, a new transaction will get created automatically on the day that interest rate is due. These new features will now give you more detailed information on your home/car loans, credit card spending and more. You’ll also notice an Available box. Once a credit limit has been entered on your credit cards, this will show you how much you have left to spend before going over your limit.
The Math Calculator will now allow you to enter in numbers and symbols from your keyboard instead of having to click the numbers with your mouse. Once you click the input box, a new box will appear to allow you to enter in data from your keypad.
We've launched a new feature on the My Bills page that allows you to set your Bills to be automatically entered in. When you check the "Auto Pay" checkbox, a new transaction will get entered on the My Transactions page and will mark the Bill as paid on the My Bills page on the day your Bill is set to be paid.
We've updated the My Bills page to now allow you to enter the address, city, state, and zip code of the Bill you are creating. This is tied directly with your My Contacts page and will get updated on the My Contacts page when you update it on the My Bills page.
The Categories page will now also show you the month and year that category is starting in your Budget. This gives you a quick view of Budget Items that might not have been started yet.
We've updated the Message Board to now show the most recent posts on the main page. We've also updated the sub-pages to now be ordered by most recent post.
The Setup Wizard has been modified to be more user friendly for new and existing users. This gives users a more detailed walk thru when setting up your BudgetTracker account. When in setup mode, the top, left, and right panels are removed so that new users do not get confused by surrounded links and can concentrate mainly on learning how the site works and getting started. Additionally, the name has been changed from Budgeting Wizard to Setup Wizard and can be accessed from the Finance drop down.
We have updated the Bills and Income section to now allow you to create a Budget item automatically when a new Bill or Income item is created. By default, your category will be set to "Add to Budget". If a budget item has already been created, you can select it from the category list. Alternatively, you can choose not to add your Bill to your Budget by selecting "No Category".
