The My Tasks page now allows you to share a group of Tasks with other BudgetTracker users. You also have the ability to leave comments on tasks to make it easier to track activities with other users.
The My Tasks page has been updated to be more dynamic. You will now notice the ability to complete and delete tasks without having to click a button. Simply check the box next to the item you wish to complete and the item will be marked completed without reloading the page.
We've updated the quick entries section to now include the ability to quickly enter new tasks from any web page. To view Quick Entries, click "Finance" from the Navigation menu and choose, "Quick Entries".
We've launched an in-house Advertising structure for BudgetTracker. This allows all pages to remain on a secure and allow us to continually offer BudgetTracker as a Free Service. You can now place Ads on the BudgetTracker site through our Ad program. All existing users have been given a $20.00 credit to try out our Ad System free of charge. No credit card is needed to place Ads and no obligation is required to keep your Ad running. We are offering two types of Advertising models. The first is text only Ads that get displayed for all logged in users that have not paid for a subscription. We've also built in a way for users to select the categories they are interested in so they only see those Ads appear. The second is static Front Page Advertising. This will ensure your Ad gets run on the front page of BudgetTracker for a monthly fee. To find out more, click the Advertising link from the Navigation menu. Please feel free to comment on this new feature.
We've updated the My Income page to now allow you to split your Income items. There are a few new features we've added into this change. You can select to have your Income split by either selecting a percentage of the total amount or specifying the exact amounts. You will also notice fields for To Accounts. This will automatically record a Transaction Transfer in addition to recording your deposit. This allows you to distribute funds between accounts when your paycheck arrives without having to do the calculations. This adds a lot of new functionality to the My Income page so please let us know if you find any issues with the recent changes.
We have added the ability to close an account. When closed, your account will still appear on the My Accounts page but will show a red closed next to the name with the amount crossed out. This amount will not be included in the total Accounts balance. To close an existing account, click the pencil icon to update the account and you will now see a link at the top titled "close account". Once closed, this link will become "re-open account" if you wish to re-activate it.
We've added the ability to save BudgetTracker updates to your favorite RSS feed provider. At the bottom of the Message Board page you will see the ability to add our site updates to your Google, Yahoo, or any RSS providers home page.
We've added Cash Accounts to the Accounts drop down. This will allow you to save and view a summary of your Cash Transactions from the My Transactions page.
We've added the ability to view the BudgetTracker site with glass effects added to the title bars. To view this, click the "Settings" tab from above and look for "Title Bars".
We've added the ability for users to comment on Site Updates we make to help give feedback reguarding if this was a change you like to have seen done differently or give general comments on the change. To add your comment, click the comment(*) link.
