We've added some new features to the Message Board. Some categories now allow you to cast a vote. You now have the ability to link a topic to either a News Article, Blog, or create your own topic and allow others to vote on how helpful this is. We've also added these categories as links from the Navigation menu. As this starts to grow, we will add more features to it. We'd also like to acknowledge digg.com for their innovative ideas in implementing a news voting system.
We've added a new category called "Information" and moved most of the root level BudgetTracker link under this category to help you find specific links easier.
We've modified our Upgrade Services to now allow you to make subscription payments through PayPal. This gives you the ability to pay by Visa, Master Card, Check, or PayPal. We've changed our yearly subscription to a monthly subscription for $2.95 per month with the first 30 days free. This allows you to use the upgraded services as long as you wish with the option to downgrade at anytime less than a year. Existing paid customers will retain their upgraded service until the year expires, then have the option to switch to the monthly plan.
We've added the ability to now have sub-accounts added to your account. This allows you to either create a separate profile for your business records and easily switch back and forth, share information with your spouse, or monitor your kids spending. This is however only offered for subscribed users. To access, you'll see a drop-down box at the top of the screen where your username is. Once you have multiple accounts, this is how you access each one. Each account has its own login so you can either login to the sub-account separately or login to the main account and switch back and forth.
We've added the ability to view, rename, and delete your existing Payees. You can access this page either from the sub-menu on the My Transactions page, or at the bottom of your "Select Payee" drop-down list, you will now see an "Update Payees" selection.
We've added a balance accounts feature to the My Transactions page. This will allow you verify the amounts that have been cleared in your records versus what the bank shows your balance is.
We've made several modifications to the Search page to now allow you to do name, tag, and date searches. You also can now search through your existing transactions from the Search page. This gives you more flexibility when trying to narrow down how much you've spent on any given payee over a specific period of time. We plan on adding more Search functionality in the future such as Bills, Income, and Calendar Reminders. If you see any issues or have a suggestion, please let us know.
We've come up with a new way to enter your Transactions. The quick transaction page allows you to easily enter new transactions while browsing the web. The page will only ask for a Payee Name and Amount. Once entered, the transaction date will default to the date entered and be saved to a Pending Transactions table. This allows you to effortlessly enter transactions quickly, then come back and add additional details to the Transaction at a time that is more convenient. To access, click Quick Transaction from the Navigation menu under My Finances.
We've added support for importing Microsoft Money or Quicken QIF files. This should be an available option from your bank or financial institution. The Import Transactions page will now require QIF files instead of CSV. You may still import CSV if you choose by clicking the Import CSV link at the top of the Import Transactions page.
