The Budget page has been updated with a few new features:
The budget amount has now been converted to a link which will take you to the reallocation page to make it easier to change the amount for any given month.
A new section title Total Summary was added to show your total budget plus Bills and Income that are not tied to a Budget.
We've added a Last 2 Months link to allow you to view your budgeting over a span of 2 months as well as the current month.
We've added a new category titled "My School" and launched 3 new applications: Class Schedule, Books, and Tutoring Schedule. If you have an idea for a new application related to schooling, please let us know.
We've launched a working out application to help keep track of your exercises. You can specify a start date, how often you'd like to workout, how many reps or miles you like to run/lift, and the ability to mark your workouts as completed. Once saved, this will automatically get added to your Calendar with a Watch icon to help see where you're at. To access, click My Organizer from the left navigation menu.
We've implemented Pie Charts into the Bills, Budget, Income, and Transactions pages. We also plan on integrating a pie chart for your Accounts and a line chart for your Transactions Forecasting. Please let us know if you see any issues.
We're launching a new Message Board to replace the existing Tips Message Board to support more communication between users and give users the ability to get Financial Tips. We have gone with phpBB to support this functionality. For security reasons, posting a message will require separate registration for our Message Board area. For site updates, reporting bugs, and feedback on the site, this will remain integrated into the BudgetTracker site in our Help Section. We've made some modifications to the My Accounts and My Bills page to better support Credit Cards. Now when creating a new credit card account, you will be given the option to also add it to your Bills. This will also carry over to your Calendar and Budget. Once created, a Bill Transfer will be created allowing you to transfer funds from your Checking Account to your Credit Card Account. Additionally, if a transfer is scheduled on the My Bills page to a Credit Card, a Visa icon will now show up in place of the T icon for transferring funds to make it easier to distinguish between Credit Card transfers and regular fund transfers.
We've created a Tax Deduction section to allow you to keep track of your deductions throughout the year. At the end of the year, you can then print out your deductions to give to your Accountant. You can access this page from My Finances > Tax Deductions
We've made some updates to the My Calendar page to now allow you to set daily recurrences. Some other additions include updating and saving new reminders will now use ajax for faster load times, an alert or mail icon will now show up when a reminder is set and show time is on, and you now have an end time field. Some future additions will include the ability to set the time to "All Day", and customized Events.
